Grade 6 ELA

The Big Five with ELA:

Students will engage in a variety of activities daily:

1.  Teacher Time (eg:  project work with the teacher; the editing process)

2.  Peer to Peer Time (eg:  spelling, grammar)

3.  Tech Talk Time (eg:  SYM, Word Processing)

4.  Individual Writing Time (eg:  Writing Process, Story Starters)

5.  Individual Reading Time  (eg:  Read To self, Audio Books)

Please note that these are just examples...the ELA curriculum focuses on a variety of areas which incorporates reading, writing, speaking, thinking, representing and viewing.
